PUPPY PURCHASE AGREEMENT           

 
The buyer hereby agrees to purchase the puppy named (_______________________) from Braveheart Bulldogs for the price of $__________ plus shipping ______.

 
Buyer agrees to read this contract carefully, print out this form, sign it and send it to the seller, with their
deposit of Half the price of puppy made out to Braveheart Kennels. Seller will sign the contract when it is returned and send
a copy back to the buyer for their records.

The seller agrees to furnish the buyer with all the necessary health information including Vaccination Records, Worming Records and the Veterinarian's Health Certificate. The IOEBA registration application will be executed at time of purchase. The buyer understands that this puppy will be eligible for permanent registration with the IOEBA and or CKC and has been fully informed on how to go about the process of IOEBA registration.


1. All puppies require a deposit of half of the purchase price of the puppy. We accept U.S. Postal Money Orders, Pay Pal, and Cash.

 
2. Choice of puppy is determined on a first come (deposit received) first to choose basis.
 
3. All puppies will be sold without breeding rights. All pupies are sold as PET quality, and MUST be spayed/neutered within the first 4 months. Buyer will then receive registration papers when proof of spay/neuter (copy of Vet Statement) is provided to seller.If you desire to arrange breeding rights this additional privilege must be discussed and mutually agreed upon by buyer and seller at time of purchase. Breeding rights will be attached via addendum to the bottom of this contract if so agreed upon.


4. Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE. If something happens to your pup or if one is not available from this litter you will be given choice of a pup from the next available litter. If you change your mind and do not/can not get puppy you forfeit your deposit.


5. Buyer will pick up puppy by the time it is 8 weeks old, otherwise there will be a $35.00 a week boarding charge, plus any other expenses, unless agreed upon and noted by Seller in writing. Two (2) weeks or more with no attempt to make pick up arrangements, and buyer forfeits puppy with no option to obtain another unless noted by the seller in writing.

 
THIS PUPPY IS GUARANTEED AS FOLLOWS:
 
1. To be in good physical condition for the first 48 hours after the time of shipping. The buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours after the delivery time for a complete physical examination. Failure of buyer to take said puppy for a physical examination to the vet within 48 hours of shipping voids puppy warranty in full. If a veterinarian finds the puppy to have a contagious disease or to have a serious physical condition other than a bacterial infection such as coccidian or giardia which are easily treated, the seller will replace the puppy with another puppy of comparable or better quality. The seller reserves the right to a second veterinarian opinion at the expense of the seller. No monies will be refunded.


2. To be free from any genetic / hereditary defects that cause death or serious impairment of the vital functions in the puppy until said puppy is one year of age. Any problems associated with hips will not be covered at all until the puppy is at least 12 months old. Hips will then be covered until said puppy is 18 months old. If such an inheritable defect is documented by a Veterinarian and presented to the seller with sufficient supporting evidence, the buyer will be entitled to a replacement puppy of the same sex, of comparable or better quality, when available from same or upcoming litter, after the first puppy is returned to seller. No cash refunds given and we will not pay any vet bills.


3. Puppies are considered high risk for Coccidia and Giardia (bloody stools). These health issues are easily treatable. They are often brought on by the stress of shipping, a new home, new food, new people, change of climate or surroundings. Shipped puppies seem more prone to showing symptoms of Coccidia or Giardia. Another thing that may show up with shipping and/or the stress of moving and a new home is Kennel Cough (Bordatella-raspy cough). Kennel cough, Coccidia or Giardia on their own are not life threatening. All puppies are treated and vaccinated for Parvo and Distemper at five weeks as well as wormed if needed.  Vacination however is not a guarantee the puppy will not respond to the above issues. They can arise. But if they do, they are rarely serious (even though seeing blood in the stool would appear serious) and are easily treated. We will not cover the treatment for them.


4. To be of sound temperament, that is, to be neither so shy nor vicious as to render the dog an unfit companion. This guarantee of temperament is effective only until the dog reaches one (1) year of age, if sold as a puppy, and is contingent upon reasonable proof that any defect in temperament is not the result of lack of proper care or training on the part of the buyer. If any issues in temperament arise, buyer agrees he/she is responsible as a first course of action to attend obedience training classes with his puppy at a qualified training facility in order to resolve problem through proper training. Failure to do so voids the warranty.


THE BUYER AGREES:


1. To at all times use the kennel name " Braveheart " as the kennel prefix in the registered name of the dog as well as the leading prefix in said dog's name in any advertisement of this dog whether in print or photo publication.


2. In the event that the dog is later sold, or otherwise transferred from the possession of the buyer, for whatever reason, the seller will have the absolute right of first refusal to repurchase the dog for a sum not to exceed the original purchase price.


3. Maintain up to date vaccines and regular routine worming.


4.No Guard or Attack training.

 
5. ABSOLUTELY NO KEEPING DOG/PUP ON A CHAIN
 
6. Puppy crating- do not leave a puppy in a crate too long as that can force them to dirty their crate. The average three-month-old pup can wait three to four hours, four-month-old maybe four to five and so on. Forcing a pup to dirty their crate can lead to serious housebreaking/behavioral problems.

7. At no time is the seller responsible for defects/conditions caused by buyers neglect, abuse, improper
nutrition, mishandling or injuries to the pup/adult dog caused by said conditions. Seller declines any
liability in the event of any accident involving the pup/dog which shall not be limited to dog bites or
personal or property damage.

The Buyer and Seller agree that this is the full and complete agreement that exists between the parties
for the sale of this dog/puppy. Any agreements made prior to this are considered incorporated herein
and any other modifications made to this agreement shall be made in writing or such shall not be
effective. Buy signing this agreement, you agree to all the above. This agreement must be signed and
returned to the Seller.
